On May 19, 2018, Professor Ho-Young Lee, the director of the Center for Global Business Ethics and Responsibility and the current president of the Korean Accounting Information Association (KAIA) hosted a national conference at School of Business, Yonsei University, on the subject of “The Impact of Emerging Technology on Accounting Industry and Education - Challenges and Opportunities.” In this conference, special lectures and presentations of 26 topics were presented including special lectures by Mr. Joong-Kyung Choi, Chairman of Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The conference speakers and participants have discussed various issues related to artificial intelligence, IoT, machine learning, big data, and tax evasion as well as key issues affecting accounting transparency and information asymmetry.
