On June 2, 2018, Professor Ho-Young Lee participated as a panelist during the special session of the “Corporate Social Responsibility in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution” in the Spring Conference of Korea Association of Business Ethics. In this special session, Professor Ho-Young Lee pointed out that the fourth industrial revolution will intensify information symmetry and that the current corporate disclosure system focusing on short-term financial performance has a limitations in solving the new type of information asymmetry problem. To solve this problem, he suggested that the professional ethics of the information specialist groups and the activation of information user activism are needed. His research team together with Hae-Myeong Shin also presented a working research paper entitled “Social-tie of Outside Directors and Investment Efficiency” at the conference.
