During the first half of 2021, the research center conducted ESG performance evaluations of 17 affiliates of Shinhan Financial Group. The result of the social value evaluation of 93 projects carried out by Shinhan Financial Group including Shinhan Bank, and Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation reveal that about 760 billion won was invested in ESG projects, products, and services to create social value in 2019. Among the results of the 2020 ESG performance evaluation on 14 categories and 24 detailed projects, the center found a total of 142 billion won in social value. Based on these findings, the "Shinhan Social Value Measurement Framework (SVMF)" was developed, and the social value measurement framework was introduced for the first time among global financial companies in 2020.
